Your CV and cover letter are more than just documents. They are your personal marketing tools, designed to tell your story and show employers why you are the right candidate. Yet many applicants fail to make theirs stand out.
In this interactive workshop, career coach Mariana Batista will guide you through the key principles of crafting an effective, authentic CV and cover letter that get noticed, even in competitive job markets. Learn how to frame your skills and achievements, avoid common mistakes, and tailor your application to each position.
By the end of the session, you will know:
- How to structure a clear, impactful CV;
- How to craft a cover letter that complements your CV rather than repeats it;
- What hiring managers and applicant tracking systems (ATS) actually look for;
- How to showcase your unique strengths in a professional way.
Please note that this workshop is one of the electives PREMIUM offers. Attend a minimum of 3 of the elective workshops.

Your Workshop Host: Mariana Batista (key2advance)
Mariana Batista is a professional with a background in project development and programme management in the humanitarian, non-profit and government sectors.
She currently works as an Education & Skills Manager at WindEurope and has previously led the Capacity-Building Programme of the Green European Foundation (GEF), overseeing a work programme, which promotes education and training and provides opportunities for building capacity amongst Green actors across Europe. GEF is a European level political foundation, funded by the European Parliament that contributes to the development of a European public sphere and works to create a common Green vision for Europe. Prior to her work at GEF, Mariana led an Internship programme at SB Overseas, a non-profit organisation based in Belgium dedicated to providing non formal education to refugees and victims of conflict in Lebanon. Mariana is a BSIS alumni who graduated with a Master of Arts in International Conflict and Security with a Specialisation in International Migration in 2019. Previous to her Brussels-based worked, Mariana worked in Toronto for a number of governmental institutions, including the Ontario Ministry of Government and the Council of Ministries of Education.
